Statement about Trafficking and Modern Slavery

Settled recognises the risks of failing to consider, or unwittingly giving support to, trafficking and modern slavery whether in our neighbourhoods or through globalised supply chains.

In accordance with Section 54 of the Modern Slavery Act 2015, Settled makes this commitment for the year April 2023-March 2024.

Settled has procedures for its staff and volunteers on how to respond to concerns about potential victims of trafficking and modern slavery who use its services. Annual training on safeguarding victims of trafficking and modern slavery is provided. Where needed, Settled works sensitively and effectively with victims and with the relevant specialist bodies, including the police.

Settled requires reassurances from suppliers of goods that they are committed to opposing trafficking and modern slavery. In the year ahead Settled will preference suppliers who have robust anti-trafficking and anti-slavery policies.
