Polish man living in UK since childhood granted 11th-hour deportation reprieve
A good example of why Settled is so needed, in yesterday’s piece in The Observer: Polish man living in UK since childhood granted 11th-hour deportation reprieve | Immigration and asylum | The Guardian
Our immigration advice manager, Andrew Jordan, quoted in the article, worked around the clock since Mateusz contacted us on Thursday evening with this very concerning situation. Yesterday, three days later, we received the great news that the deportation flight had been cancelled, thanks to Andrew’s efforts & those of the Polish Embassy, Citizens Rights Project, and senior officials at the Home Office.
We wait to hear the outcome of Mateusz’s new application for status under the EU Settlement Scheme.
Please contact Settled if you need advice and assistance on making a late application to the EUSS or challenging a negative result, have issues at the border, or have any other query relating to (pre-)settled status.
